So there was one night where a friend and I went out to eat at Don Pablo’s.  She had already taken a super cute picture in her Ragamuffin Soul T-Shirt, but we had not taken one together yet.  We had good intentions, but just never got around to taking a picture.  After I got home from work, I decided to put on my sweet Ransomed Ragamuffin Soul T-Shirt.  I pondered calling her to tell her to wear hers too, but since I tend to be on the late side (understatement) I figured she had already left.  Little did I know that the same thought (minus the her being late–she’s rather prompt) went through her mind.  Once in the restaurant, we unzipped our coats and there we were. Yep, pretty sweet except that we then forgot to take a picture at the restaurant and didn’t take one until right before she left.

So Not Ready“Here let me put my hair up. Wait. You took a picture!”

Not Quite

When I saw this picture, the first thing that came to mind was “Odd. I look like I’m trying to be a bird or something flying with how I’m leaning forward. At least Carrie is normal.  But we are off-center too….”

Ragamuffin Soul T-ShirtsA few tries later=happy picture.

p.s. I’m going to miss that girl!

Great Opportunity

Ever want to help a ministry out, but don’t know where to start or where to give?  Here’s an awesome opportunity to help some super cute kids out in Guatemala.  My friend, Carrie, is heading there in a couple of weeks so now is the time to get involved!

And to put a face to the cause, here’s some of the kids she’s met there:

Name: Christopher
Nickname: Qicho (key-cho)

I’m praying about how much to give.  I hope you would too!

…are you really good at it? Sometimes I feel like this word gets used in place of people just having “multiple things to do” rather than doing multiple things at once.

Multi-tasking: The ability of a person to perform more than one task at the same time

Multi-tasking  has benefits of course, yet last night I was experiencing some of the negatives…

Here’s how the situation went:

The television was on in the background–we weren’t really watching it.  My roommate was showing me a slideshow of boys, which turned out very good and was quite entertaining.  🙂  I was talking to 2 people on MSN Messenger…a boy and my other roommate who just got home from Guatemala (Carrie–see her blog on the side!).  To top it all off, I was eating Red Velvet cake too!

At the end, I wished I could have given each of them my full attention and focus to show how much I really cared and wanted to talk with them.  At least, I believe I’m pretty good at multi-tasking so I was able to continue to do all of the aforementioned tasks.  Yet, I want to be the type of person who is fully engaged and listens well to one at a time than listens okay to multiple.

There’s a few thoughts for you to ponder on such a FREEZING day 🙂 Stay Warm!
