7 and 8 Months

We love you little man and have had such fun seeing you get older!

What we have learned…how to sleep in the Nuna, army crawling, sitting, and exploring!

What we are enjoying…warmer weather, walks/runs, smiles and laughs, and playing.

What are struggles…still could use some help in the sleep department and finding time to finish some projects.

Most exciting milestones…army crawling, sitting, trying new food, and sat in the cart at the store. He has 2 teeth on the bottom and one barely coming through on the top.

What Canon seems to like…exploring, eating cars, being held, sitting, chewing everything, and being by Asher and Melea.

Dislikes seem to be…being overtired and being smothered by his siblings.

What sleep looks like…he still loosely naps around 10 and again around 1 or 2 and then usually sneaks in another before going to bed about 8. He’s up around 8 still too. Nights are still a wildcard.

He’s eating…milk and more or less whatever we are eating. Still nurses maybe every 3ish hours.

Who we have seen…same people!

At the last doctors appointment…he’s wearing size 3 diapers and can fit both 9 or 12 month clothes. Not sure about weight and height.

Brave Surrender

I recently finished Kim Walker-Smith’s book Brave Surrender. I was not sure what to expect from the book and was worried it might be a testimony trying too hard to be non-fiction. This was not true! I was thankful to find that the book was easy to read and really focused on her story. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the backstory of the song How He Loves and more about Kim’s life. There is power in our testimony and this book showed that! She shared in a way that felt relatable and real. She wrote about her struggles as well as personal areas of victory. I’m glad I got a chance to read this one!

I would recommend this book if you are interested in hearing more about her story or if you like reading memoir type books. There are some mature topics discussed within the book to be aware of such as suicide, abuse, and death.
