Diary of a Jackwagon

I’ve watched a few Tim Hawkins things before and at times thought they were really funny. Sometimes, though, he was just not my type of humor. I do love that he keeps his humor clean and family friendly. That gets an A+ in my book and I am proud of him for setting that example. I got this book to review because I thought I might want to give it as a gift to someone who I know likes Tim Hawkins. I learned my lesson that next time I should just buy books rather than review them for gifts! Since this one was a struggle for me to get into and continue to read at times. Though, if you’re a Tim Hawkins fan you will be all over this book. He includes his process for how he comes up with material and includes a lot of material that he has gathered over the years. Each chapter also ends with some tweets that he has posted too. I enjoyed that the chapters were short and I could pick a subject that sounded interesting to me and jump there. This helped since I am particular about the types of things I find funny. I could easily skip a chunk or find something else interesting! The book itself has great cover art and makes you want to read it. All that to say, if you’re a Tim Hawkins fan, I’d suggest picking this one up!

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers <http://booklookbloggers.com> book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
