So fun!

Last night, we spent some time watching Planet Earth! Boaz especially gets into the show and is even known to growl or bark at times. He’s crazy. We watched the episode with the cute little penguins and the polar bears–love them! I’m always amazed at the intricate details God included….from the way the penguins huddle to the way the whales circle around in a group to feed. So cool!

In other news, I have the best staff ever! As a team, we went SUP (standing up paddleboarding)!! So much fun. Next time, I so want to go and then jump in the lake halfway through. The guy we rented from even told us that it was biblical since the board is also known as the ark and the paddle as the staff. Hello Noah and Moses 🙂

Life lately

Lately….we’ve been packing on the miles! We ran 12 miles this last long run which was “short.” But man did it feel good to finish under 2 hours. Plus, I absolutely love running with my husband. I’m so thankful he puts up with my crazy plans of running a marathon together. Boaz loves it too. He freaks out the second he sees my running shorts or shoes! Such a funny dog.

Lately…we’ve been rocking the aviators.

Lately…we’ve been eating good food!

Lately…we’ve been making good food (cue truffle mac!)

Lately….I’ve been listening to Oceans by Hillsong. Let’s just say I’m obsessed with the lyric: You’ve never failed…and You won’t stop now.

Lately…I’ve been praying and praising God for His goodness (it’s been a theme lately…). There’s just even more brewing, waiting to be revealed by Him!

Last year….I was wading through moving to a new apartment, finally being home to enjoy my now husband but then boyfriend, taking classes, and just getting the hang of my new job. All at the tail end of coming back from Greece and Italy and London.

Last fall…I got to put on an amazing ring custom designed by my amazing husband, we got to dream of fun wedding places, and I got to head off to Africa.

Last winter….I got to marry my favorite person in the mountains on a fun day and then we got to jet off to the beach. I even got to see my pregnant guate friend at my crazy bridal shower that showed me so many people were celebrating with us.

Last spring…my two dear friends sent pictures of their adorable babies being born and I learned just how much fun marriage is.

Last few months…have been full of trips to DC and liberty and Michigan and the cities and lots and lots of running training for our marathon!

There’s so much goodness and its always fun to focus on that than the drama. The Lord is good.

After heading to Michigan to see some dear friends, Africa has definitely been on my heart (oh wait when isn’t she?!). So needless to say, finding Nando’s peri peri at a Whole Foods on Wednesday totally made my day!

The Lord is so sweet to me when I least expect it and He is ever surprising me with ways that show He is mindful of me.

Life has been full of twists and turns and unexpecteds but His goodness remains an ever present thread. Even when I cannot see through the fog of all my questions, He’s good and He is yes and amen.

I’m excited to keep unveiling all that comes my way in this season and this next season feels like it will start soon with a whole new level of goodness. Until then I’m off to eat some yummy peri peri!

P.s. I know I haven’t blogged for forever so I’m (maybe) easing my way back into this little space. I figured even if my computer’s Internet is not always reliable, I can still check in on my phone 🙂
