sometimes it’s the scripture found tucked away under a desk from your last run that reminds you to go run and memorize it again…
1 Peter 1:6-8
in this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. these have come so that your faith–of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire–may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.
….because that kind of faith is forged in trials harder than fire and fierce battles that wage war ready to take you out. genuine, true faith. a faith that weathers all kinds of seasons and trusts in all sorts of hard.
and to be faithful. you have to start with faith.
to hear “well done good and faithful servant.”
you’ve gotta go through the battle and wait it out.
