longing

i’m thankful for the longing and the contentment.

the way they mix together.

how i can cement the past and the present

into a bundle of joy that

sparks in my eyes

right before they burst

with tears

because well i find myself here

content

in God (where else really is contentment?)

i still feel the tug

the ever present call

the heartfelt tearing

that will bring me back

and when that day comes

i’ll realize

that His timing

is now
