I do this little thing called running. in frigid temperatures that is. Why? Because I just know it’s going to get warm out someday and then I’ll want to run outside anyway and so why would I get a gym membership when I can run outside in the warm sunshine? Irrational? Slightly. Optimistic? Oh yes! Because it will warm up…eventually.
Alright, back to the running story for the day. First off, I ran a 5k in the frigid temperatures, woot! Second off, I had an awesome playlist consisting of the following:
- Madly by Steve Fee (I like his version…!!!!)
- Desert Song by Hillsong
- How He Loves by Kim Walker
- All We Need by Charlie Hall
- Love is Here by Tenth Avenue North
- Hope Now by Addison Road
That alone pretty much guarantees a rocking run complete with a few moments of teary eyed I love you, Jesus and yeah I’m madly in love with you. Along with those fabulous parts, I also saw a perfect example of the kind of joy I want…a BRIGHT yellow house surrounded by snow, dirty roads, brown drab houses and bare trees. I want my JOY to be that contagious, that hopeful, that bubbly, that bursting, that lovely. To show Him and how He is so madly in love with you.
“Joy and gladness will be found in her.” Isaiah 51:3
